1.隋文帝是“妻管严”吗?
隋文帝皇后独孤伽罗，北周大司马独孤信的第七个女儿。
文帝即位以后，独孤伽罗被封 为文献皇后，与隋文帝并称“二圣”，隋文帝对独孤皇后非常敬畏。 公元557年，14岁的独孤伽罗和17岁的杨坚结婚，在婚礼之夜，聪明的独孤小姐当场逼 着杨坚发下重誓，这辈子绝不纳妾，不碰别的女人。
迫于独孤家的权势，杨坚无奈之下只好 答应，独孤伽罗赢得了她人生的第一个胜利。 每当与隋文帝议论国家大事时，二人看法往往不谋而合，故而宫中并称为“二圣”。
独孤 伽罗是一个十分合格的皇后，尊崇长辈，禀性节俭，当时突厥与隋贸易，有明珠一盒，价值 八百万，幽州总管殷寿让独孤皇后买下，被她婉言谢绝，此举立即传遍朝野，她因此受到百 官称赞。 文献皇后的表兄大都督崔长仁触犯了国家法令，按律当斩，隋文帝看在皇后情面，有 意赦免。
皇后进谏说：“国家之事岂可顾私。”于是将崔长仁处死。
独孤皇后不只是管住丈夫不近女色，为了国家利益，她还甚至强力干涉儿子和大臣们 的感情生活。公元602年八月，独孤伽罗病逝于永安宫。
独孤皇后死后，隋文帝开始纵情 于女色，不久就患上了重病。在弥留之际，他感慨万千地道：“假使皇后在，吾不及此！” 独孤皇后铁腕严治后宫的事迹，被后世广为传颂。

“妻管严”就是被“妻”子充分“关（管）注”并“严”格照顾着。
也就是怕老婆，有些地方也叫做耙耳朵。具体来源不得而知。

Finally, I was off to college. Thanks to some careful savings, I did not have to work during the first school year. Then, summer hit and it was time to work harder than ever. I continued working as a waitress at night, as a tennis instructor during several mornings a week and worked as a secretary for a few hours in the afternoon. Being a little overzealous, I decided also to take a class at a community college. This class at the community college saved me $650. it was an exhausting summer and made me anxious to return to my relatively easy life at college.
During my second and third years of undergraduate schooling, I decided to work about five hours per week in the campus admissions office answering phones. This provided a little spending money and kept me from draining my savings. The overall situation looked hopeful as I approached my senior year as long as I could make as much money as I had the previous summer. that is when i decided to go to Israel to study for 3 weeks, I hesitated that making this decision and i had just decided about not to go because it would cost me $1,600 more to get the credits in Israel. About two weeks later my Mom called me to tell me that I had $1,600 in the bank that I had forgotten about! One of my concerns about this trip was not only the cost, but the time it will take to make money; however, I made as much that summer in the ten weeks that I was home as I had made during the fourteen weeks that I was home the summer before. The way everything worked out to make this trip feasible was one of the most exciting things that has ever happened to me.
This experience has shaped me in many important ways. The first thing that I learned was the importance of a strong work ethic. Working long hours did a lot to mold my character and helped me learn the value of a dollar. It also made me learn how to craft creative solutions to difficult dilemmas.
